Tour Description
Embark on an exhilarating journey through the Rongai Route, a path less traveled on Kilimanjaro. Over six days, adventurers will conquer diverse terrains, each day presenting unique challenges and breathtaking vistas. The trek kicks off at Kilimanjaro Airport, leading through Moshi to the Rongai Gate. From there, the expedition traverses through Simba Camp, Second Cave, Third Cave, Kibo Hut, culminating in the ultimate triumph at Uhuru Peak.

Tour Itinerary
Day 1 - Moshi to Rongai Gate to Simba Camp
Distance: Approximately 5 km Elevation Gain: 1,540 meters Vegetation: Transitioning from lush forests to moorland, the trail offers glimpses of unique flora.

Day 2 - Simba Camp to Second Cave
Distance: Around 6 km Elevation Gain: Ascending to 3,450 meters Geographical Description: Hikers enter the heath and moorland zone, encountering the mesmerizing Kili landscapes.
Accommodation: Second Cave Campsite
Day 3 - Second Cave to Third Cave
Distance: Approximately 8 km Elevation Gain: Rising to 3,870 meters Terrain: A gradual ascent, revealing stunning panoramas, with vegetation transforming to alpine desert.
Accommodation: Third Cave Campsite
Day 4 - Third Cave to Kibo Hut
Distance: About 5 km Elevation Gain: Reaching 4,700 meters Geographical Highlights: The trail enters the arid lunar desert, offering a surreal experience amidst rocky landscapes.

Day 5 - Kibo Hut to Uhuru Peak (summit point) Back to Horombo Hut
Distance: Around 21 km (summit and descent) Elevation Gain: Summiting at 5,895 meters Nature & Climate: Trekkers conquer the challenging final ascent, embracing the icy summit before descending to Horombo Hut.

Day 6 - Horombo Hut to Mandara Hut to Marangu Gate Back to Moshi/Arusha
Distance: Approximately 27 km (descend) Elevation Descent: Returning to lower altitudes, concluding the trek at Marangu Gate and heading back to Moshi or Arusha.
