Tour Itinerary
Day 1 - Moshi to Rongai Gate to Simba Camp
The adventure commences with a drive to the Rongai Gate, the gateway to Kilimanjaro’s northern slopes. As you ascend through lush rainforests, the temperature gradually cools. The terrain changes from dense vegetation to open moorland as you reach Simba Camp, your first overnight stop at approximately 2,625 meters above sea level. Geographical Description: The Rongai Gate marks the beginning of the trek, located at an altitude of around 1,950 meters. The route initially winds through rich rainforests before transitioning to moorland at Simba Camp.

Day 2 - Simba Camp to Second Cave
Traverse undulating landscapes and marvel at the shift in vegetation. The path leads to Second Cave, situated around 3,450 meters above sea level. Witness panoramic views and acclimate to the increasing altitude. Geographical Description: The Second Cave lies at an elevation of approximately 3,450 meters, characterized by a transition to rocky terrain with scattered vegetation, offering glimpses of the vast expanse ahead.

Day 3 - Second Cave to Kikelewa Cave
Ascend further through the alpine desert, where hardy plants endure the harsh conditions. Arrive at Kikelewa Cave, perched at around 3,600 meters. Marvel at the breathtaking vistas while settling into camp. Geographical Description: Kikelewa Cave sits at an altitude of approximately 3,600 meters, presenting a striking landscape dominated by rocky outcrops and sparse vegetation, showcasing the endurance of life at high altitudes.

Day 4 - Kikelewa Cave to Mawenzi Tarn
The journey leads to Mawenzi Tarn, offering a stunning backdrop against the Mawenzi peak. At approximately 4,330 meters, this campsite grants mesmerizing views and an opportunity to rest before the final ascent. Geographical Description: Mawenzi Tarn rests at an altitude of around 4,330 meters, surrounded by high alpine desert, with the majestic Mawenzi peak looming nearby, creating a dramatic and awe-inspiring setting.

Day 5 - Mawenzi Tarn to Kibo Hut
Keep forging ahead beyond Mawenzi Tarn, making your way towards Kibo Hut amidst diverse landscapes. The expedition unfolds breathtaking panoramas of the encompassing terrain, where temperatures fluctuate between 5 to 10°C. As you progress towards Kibo Hut, nestled approximately at 4,700 meters, the scenery morphs into an alpine desert, marked by rugged rock formations and scarce greenery.

Day 6 - Kibo Hut to Uhuru Peak then Back to Horombo Hut
Celebrate the summit triumph as you descend from Uhuru Peak to Kibo Hut and onward to Horombo Hut. Reflect on the accomplishment while soaking in the stunning surroundings.

Day 7 - Horombo Hut to Mandara Hut to Marangu Gate then Back to Moshi/Arusha
Descend through the moorland and lush forests to Mandara Hut and finally, Marangu Gate. Bid farewell to the majestic Kilimanjaro as you return to Moshi or Arusha, filled with unforgettable memories.
