Tour Itinerary
Day 1 - Moshi/Arusha- Londorossi gate -Mti Mkubwa (Big Tree)
Commencing from Moshi/Arusha, the trek officially starts at Londorossi gate. As you ascend, the temperature gradually drops, and the vegetation transitions from urban surroundings to dense rainforests. Mti Mkubwa camp, situated at an altitude of approximately 2,820 meters, welcomes you with diverse flora.

Day 2 - Mti Mkubwa -Shira 2 Camp
Ascending through the rainforest, the landscape opens up to expansive views as you reach Shira 2 Camp at approximately 3,850 meters. The temperature decreases further, and the vegetation changes to heathland, signaling the approach to the alpine desert.

Day 3 - Shira 2 Camp -Lava Tower -Barranco Camp
Trekking towards Lava Tower at an altitude of 4,600 meters, the terrain showcases unique volcanic formations. Descending to Barranco Camp (3,960 meters), the environment becomes increasingly arid, surrounded by imposing rock walls.

Day 4 - Barranco Camp -Karanga Camp
Negotiating the Barranco Wall, you traverse the Karanga Valley to reach Karanga Camp at an elevation of 3,995 meters. The landscape transforms into a high-altitude desert, with sparse vegetation characteristic of these zones.

Day 5 - Karanga Camp - Barafu Camp
The journey intensifies towards Barafu Camp at 4,673 meters, the final stop before the summit. The vegetation diminishes, revealing the raw beauty of the rocky alpine desert.

Day 6 - Barafu Camp -Uhuru Peak (Summit Point)- Barafu camp to Mweka camp
The ultimate challenge awaits as you summit Uhuru Peak at 5,895 meters, the highest point in Africa. Descending to Barafu Camp and continuing to Mweka Camp at 3,100 meters, the diverse ecological zones unfold as you transition from alpine desert to moorland and rainforest.

Day 7 - Mweka Camp- Mweka Gate -Moshi
Descending through the lush Mweka rainforest, the trek concludes at Mweka Gate. A transfer takes you back to Moshi, marking the end of an exhilarating journey.
