Tour Itinerary
Day 1 - Moshi to Rongai Gate to Simba Camp
The journey commences with a drive to the Rongai Gate, the starting point of your trek. Passing through dense forests rich with diverse vegetation, you will gradually ascend to Simba Camp. The trail offers glimpses of wildlife and varying temperatures as you ascend from approximately 1,950 meters to around 2,650 meters.

Day 2 - Simba Camp to Second Cave
The trail progresses through moorland, with unique vegetation like giant lobelias and senecios dotting the landscape. You will reach Second Cave Camp at around 3,450 meters, witnessing a change in temperature and altitude.

Day 3 - Second Cave to Kikelewa Cave
Ascending further, you will traverse a rocky terrain with panoramic views. Kikelewa Cave Camp, situated at about 3,600 meters, offers a glimpse into the alpine desert zone.

Day 4 - Kikelewa Cave to Mawenzi Tarn
Moving closer to Mawenzi, one of Kilimanjaro's peaks, the landscape shifts to rugged terrain with the stunning Mawenzi Tarn Camp at approximately 4,330 meters. Temperatures drop notably, and the vegetation thins out as you enter the alpine desert.

Day 5 - Mawenzi Tarn to Kibo Hut
The path unfolds breathtaking panoramas of the surrounding scenery, with temperatures fluctuating between 5 to 10 degrees Celsius. Progressing towards Kibo Hut, nestled at approximately 4,700 meters, you'll observe the terrain transitioning into an alpine desert, marked by rocky outcrops and scarce foliage.

Day 6 - : Kibo Hut to Uhuru Peak Back to Horombo Hut
A second ascent to Uhuru Peak from Kibo Hut rewards with stunning sunrise views. Descending through changing landscapes, you will arrive back at Horombo Hut.

Day 7 - Horombo Hut to Mandara Hut to Marangu gate Back to Moshi/Arusha
The final descent takes you through Mandara Hut and down to Marangu gate. As you bid farewell to Kilimanjaro, you will head back to Moshi or Arusha.
