Day 1 - Moshi to Londorossi Gate to Big Tree Camp
The journey starts at Moshi, leading to the Londorossi Gate. Trekking begins through lush rainforests with a variety of flora, including ancient trees and vibrant foliage. Temperature: 20°C. Height: 2,360 meters. Distance: 32 km.
Accommodation: Big Tree (Mti Mkubwa) Campsite
Day 2 - Mti Mkubwa to Shira 1 Camp
Traverse through the giant heather zone, witnessing stunning vistas and encountering unique plant species. Temperature: 15°C. Height: 3,500 meters. Distance: 12 km.

Day 3 - Shira 1 Camp to Lava Tower to Moir Hut
Ascend to Lava Tower, passing through the alpine desert zone with sparse vegetation and surreal rock formations. Temperature: 10°C. Height: 4,200 meters. Distance: 10 km.

Day 4 - Moir Hut to Buffalo Camp
Explore the rugged terrain characterized by high altitude moorland, spotting wildlife like buffalo and encountering dramatic landscapes. Temperature: 5°C. Height: 4,020 meters. Distance: 15 km.

Day 5 - Buffalo Camp to Third Cave

Day 6 - Third Cave to School Hut

Day 7 - School Hut Camp To Uhuru peak To Mweka camp
Summit day! Ascend to Uhuru Peak, the highest point in Africa, experiencing surreal landscapes and a sense of accomplishment. Descend to Mweka Camp for a well-deserved rest. Temperature: -5°C to 20°C. Height: 5,895 meters. Distance: 24 km.

Day 8 - Mweka Camp to Mweka Gate Back to Moshi/Arusha
Descend through lush rainforests, completing the trek at Mweka Gate. Transfer back to Moshi/Arusha for departure.
