Tour Itinerary
Day 1 - Moshi to Londorossi Gate to Big Tree Camp
Embarking from Moshi, the journey to Londorossi Gate is a gateway to Kilimanjaro National Park. Traverse through a lush rainforest, with temperatures around 20°C (68°F). The Big Tree Camp, situated at 2,650 meters, is enfolded by a rich variety of flora, offering a serene ambiance for your first night.

Day 2 - Big Tree (Mti Mkubwa) Camp To Shira 1 Camp
Ascent continues amidst a transition from forest to moorland. Mti Mkubwa is graced by towering heather trees. Arriving at Shira 1 Camp (approximately 3,610 meters), the landscape opens to the expansive Shira Plateau, characterized by a drop in temperatures to around 15°C (59°F).

Day 3 - Shira 1 Camp to Shira 2 Camp
Traversing the Shira Plateau unveils panoramic vistas. Shira 2 Camp, at about 3,850 meters, marks the entrance to the alpine desert zone, where sparse vegetation prevails and temperatures dip to around 10°C (50°F).

Day 4 - Shira 2 Camp to Lava Tower to Moir Hut
Trek to the iconic Lava Tower at 4,630 meters, offering a challenging yet rewarding climb. Descend to Moir Hut (approximately 4,200 meters), meandering through high alpine desert characterized by temperatures around 5°C (41°F).

Day 5 - Moir Hut to Buffalo Camp
Journey through the unique highland desert landscapes to Buffalo Camp at about 4,020 meters. Marvel at the distinct rock formations and sparse vegetation, with temperatures ranging from 5-8°C (41-46°F).

Day 6 - Buffalo Camp to Third Cave
The path leads to Third Cave (around 3,870 meters), unveiling a mix of moorland and alpine desert. Temperatures range from 5-10°C (41-50°F) in this diverse terrain.

Day 7 - Third Cave to School Hut
Ascent continues to the School Hut at about 4,750 meters. The rocky terrain and significantly colder temperatures ranging from -5 to 5°C (23-41°F) necessitate acclimatization before the summit push.

Day 8 - School Hut to Uhuru Peak (Summit Point) to Mweka Camp
Commence the summit attempt in the early hours. Navigate through steep icy sections to reach Uhuru Peak (5,895 meters), relishing a breathtaking sunrise. Descend to Mweka Camp (approximately 3,100 meters) amidst moorland with temperatures rising to around 15°C (59°F).

Day 9 - Mweka Camp to Mweka Gate to Back to Moshi/Arusha
The descent through the dense rainforest brings warmer temperatures. Arrival at Mweka Gate concludes the expedition, offering a moment to celebrate your achievement before returning to Moshi or Arusha.
